How do you choose your wedding colour theme?

These days a wedding dress can be so much more than just white, as can the colour theme for your wedding as a whole. From your shoes to your bouquet to your bridal party, and much, much more, you can add personality and flair to your wedding day in whichever way you wish.

And we believe that country weddings in a vineyard setting are very much suited to a touch of colour magic!

Polyvore caught our attention the other day as they had a great feature on choosing your wedding colours, so we thought we’d pick our favourites to help get you inspired.

Depending on the time of year, you can choose your wedding colour scheme to match the floral blooms of the season or the rustic charm of leafy greens.

When grapes are heavy on the vine then a theme of deep purple, cream and a hint of pale green may be your thing. Or – as we come into spring – why not be inspired by our Jacaranda tree at the edge of our heart shaped pond by going for lilac as your starting point.

That’s not to say that there’s anything wrong with keeping it classic with whites and creams, but we do love to see a wedding that’s uniquely colour themed to suit the bride and groom’s personalities.

What colour themes have you seen that you’ve fallen head over heals for? Do you center your scheme around your favourite colour, flower or season? We’d love to hear where you get your inspiration from!
